Review: Now, Please by Willow Summers

Now, Please by Willow Summers
(Please Series)

Blurb:

His secrets could tear us apart.

I've done what no other woman has: I've made the legendary Hunter Carlisle make a compromise. I have a toehold into his solitary life.

Unfortunately, the pain of his past still lingers.

When we're forced to go to a work conference out of state, secrets emerge. Damaging secrets that shut him down and make him push me away.

Somehow I have to make him confront the past or I'll lose him forever.

***I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.***

I love when authors can pick right up where the last book left off. This author did a great job of this. I read the first book and moved right onto the next.

I love the way the author has made the two main character connect. Hunter comes from a broken family where his father stole his first love. His father has cheated on his mother and gets bored with women easily since he always finds a new woman.  Olivia is also from a broken home. Her mother has always resented having to raise her since she wanted a rich life. Having a child held her back from all the plastic surgery she has wanted and eventually had. Olivia's father had passed right before she went to college. These two help each other get over their fears which the author demonstrates really well.

Hunter finally lets Olivia in a little by kissing her and saying he wants to "make love to her" instead of just "fucking" her. He takes a huge step and then his father comes along and breaks it all up by putting the moves on Olivia and kisses her. Clearly she was trying to pull herself away from him, but Hunter overreacted and freaked himself out. Even though deep down inside, he knew she wasn't kissing him. He then closed himself off again and told Olivia to find another position in the office.

By the end of this book, Hunter comes to his senses and tries to get Olivia back. What do you think will happen between the two of them?

About the Author:

A wine country native, I moved to San Francisco for college just shy of a decade ago to pursue a lifelong interest in film. As I settled into the vibrant city, it quickly became apparent that, while I thought making and editing films was great fun, I lacked cinematic genius. For that reason, my career path quickly changed direction. My next goal was a strange childhood interest, conjured at the dining room table while filling out a form. For some reason, my young self wanted to be an Accountant. Thinking on it now, I wonder how I had any friends. Regardless, it was the direction I finally took.

While I could wrangle numbers with the best of 'em, and even though I wore the crown as the most outspoken, belligerent accountant in the world, my mind got as stuffy as my daily routine. It was here that I dusted off my creative hat and began writing.

Blog Tour: Yes, Please by Willow Summers

Yes, Please by Willow Summers
(Please series)

Blurb:

Hunter Carlisle doesn't take no for an answer

I have no job, a mountain of bills, and I'm a month away from homelessness. It can't get any worse.

CEO prodigy Hunter Carlisle is looking for an admin, and he's picked me. Filthy rich and sinfully handsome, he's the bachelor everyone wants.

But he has a secret.

In order to keep the job, he'll require me to f*ck, whenever and however he wants. No hearts, no flowers, no falling in love--just sex so good it should be illegal.

That's not my kinda bag. I like to hold onto control with both hands. But Hunter Carlisle is a man that gets what he wants, and he wants to make the rules.

My only defense is saying no, but everything in my body wants to say yes...

**This is book one in a four part series, each book full length, intended for 18+. Each book has a mini-HEA to tide the reader over leading to an overall HEA and epilogue. This is a spicy book with a little humor and a few shenanigans thrown in.

***I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review***

I loved this book from beginning to end. This was the first book I read from Willow Summers and it won't be the last. I really look forward to future work from this talented author.

Olivia is this poor, but smart girl trying to find a job after graduating college. Hunter Carlisle is a business man who is looking for an assistant that will also be more than that. This book is Hot, Hot, Hot! It was steamy and kept you wanting more. I can't believe Olivia held off for so long from Hunter. It seems like he is starting to open up and I really hope he does.

The book ending way too soon was the only downfall.

In all the past ceremonies Zara had attended, the collar lay open. The open collar is the symbol of the Council’s approval of the match between the first-born daughter of a Council member and the son of a Council member from a different sect. The key to the collar is the symbol of ownership for the first-born’s daughter by her Dom. The history of this ceremony requires the collar to be unlocked, the key ready to be presented to the Dom.
When one’s life has been filled with inevitability, processing surprises becomes difficult. Zara’s mind sifts through all of the ceremonies that she has attended, fast-forwarding to the point when the open collar is picked up and placed around the “birthday girl’s” neck. In every memory, the collar is lying open before it is picked up.
Zara’s breathing becomes labored. All thoughts of the collar evaporate as someone steps into the center of the circle.
Shoes.
What can be determined about a man, a Dom-to-be, by his polished, square-toed black shoes?
Nothing.
The dress restricts any attempts at taking a deep cleansing breath, so Zara tries employing a technique taught during years of training to settle her thoughts. The curiosity to sneak a peek at the man now standing next to her becomes an overwhelming challenge destroying her control.
The need to look at his face begins to vibrate through her entire body. Moving would bring her mother’s throat clearing and a definite lecture the moment they are alone later at the celebration. Zara tries another deep breath in an attempt to settle. It doesn’t work.
Discovering what he looks like will not change my future.

About the Author:

I grew up in Upstate NY, but my heart belongs in Arizona. If given the chance, I'd gladly trade in frost burn, for sun burn! I speak in movie quotes ALL the time. Seriously, it might be considered a sickness by now ;) I absolutely love the sound of others laughing. So I'll try to get you to do just that!

I love coffee, peanut butter cups, and OF COURSE reading!
I grew up causing all kinds of trouble with my twin sister/partner in crime.
My wild over-exaggerated story telling grew, along with my love for reading. With the support of my hubby and the encouragement of my womb mate, I put pen to paper, and let my imagination take over.

I am an author currently working on the release of my debut novel. Forever Marked is a romantic suspense, and the first book in a series. I enjoy reading all genres. Paranormal, thriller, romantic suspense, dystopian.... You name it!

Here's how to get ahold of me...

Sneak a peek at a couple of books in this collection:
Pretty Little Wherewolf
“Whatever, Di. Help if you must, but don’t baby me.”
If Di heard her, she didn’t respond. Not that Giselle needed verbal confirmation; she turned back around and slammed her locker shut without looking, and then stumbled straight into something… someone… hard.
“Oh, sorry,” Giselle mumbled, trying to steady herself. She hadn’t caught the scent until after she looked up and saw who she’d almost knocked down – or, well, collided with. She couldn’t have knocked him down if she’d tried.
Hello, Boy!
He was magnificent. Was every guy in this school a male model? Towering over her at well above six foot, with muscles that went on for days, he was built like a statue with a hard jaw and stone-cold eyes to match. Though his looks were definitely worth paying attention to, it was his smell that had her standing dumbfounded. In all the years since she’d first experienced the change, she had never run into anyone like her. Now, standing here right in front of her was yet another wolf. She’d thought the lingering scent of wet earth might have been left in Di’s wake, but the longer he stood here, looking down at her, the stronger the smell got.
“Do you have a problem?” he asked with a voice that complemented that spectacular body of his. Smooth and deep. Seriously… what a package. Her wolf was definitely at attention and begging for a second to come to the surface for a closer inspection. It was all she could do not to wolf out right there in the hallway, with all the students around to see. Yeah. That would make for a great first impression.
Hiya, everyone… I’m the new girl, and… oh, yeah, and I’m a wolf, too. She might as well tape an old “Kick me” sign on her back; it would be less conspicuous.
While she was practically drooling where she stood, the strange boy, wolf, man –whatever he was – looked positively murderous. “Are you going to stand here all day, or can I get to my locker?”
So much for making a good first impression on him. “Sorry.” Giselle cleared her throat, wanting to say something smart, but for once, she didn’t have the words. She sidestepped sheepishly, and enjoyed the back view of him as he brushed past her to his own locker.
Damn. Nice butt.
Her wolf agreed, too. Wonder what his wolf looks like. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours! She couldn’t help but stare. How often did she run into other wolves? Male wolves.

Other Side of Forever
“Allie, why do you hate me so much?” he asked softly as he stared into the sky.
His question took me by surprise. Did he really think that?
“I…I don’t hate you, Ethan.” I stumbled over my words. “I barely know you.”
“Then why do you try so hard to avoid me?”
“I don’t,” I lied, knowing that I did, but not in a mean type of way. I closed my eyes and sighed, wishing he didn’t have to ask so many questions. Couldn’t he just go back to saying nothing at all?
“You do,” he argued. I could hear the change in his voice. He was smiling.
“No. I don’t,” I answered sarcastically. His persistence was pinching my nerves.
“Then look at me,” he challenged.
Without thinking, I turned my head and looked at him. His warm, sweet breath blew against my face as he exhaled. The scent of peppermint. His dark eyes snatched me up and whisked me away. I was lost and unprepared as he drew me deeper and deeper inside him. The walls he created around me were getting higher and harder to climb. Like I had slipped into a trench and I was sinking into the earth.
Ethan pressed forward, attempting to close the gap between us. His lips were so close to mine I could feel the heat emanating from them. And just as our lips were about to brush, the voice in my head begged and pleaded and screamed for me to stop.
Then I turned away.
