Review: Ignite by Jayme and Jody Morse

Ignite by Jayme and Jody Morse
The Witches of Shadow Hill
Book 1

Synopsis:

He ignites something in her that she's never felt before...

Sixteen-year-old Amalia Greene has lived under her over protective mother's watchful eye her entire life. But when her mom is killed in a car accident, Amalia has no other option but to move to Shadow Hill, Connecticut to live with her estranged family where she finds herself more alone than ever.

When Amalia meets Julian Archer, she feels a magnetic pull to him unlike anything she's ever felt before. She's pretty sure he feels the same way she does, but he won't let her get too close to him. She soon learns it's because Julian is keeping secrets - dark, dangerous secrets that affect both of them.

And then there's the cute, mysterious stranger who Amalia meets in the woods but who won't even tell her his name. The more time she spends with him, the more she finds herself intrigued by him...and unsure of what his true intentions are.
As Amalia learns more about herself and not just one but two age-old curses that involve her, she's forced to decide if she's willing to risk it all.

Julian and Amelia get closer and closer as the book goes on. He even ends up taking her to the school dance which is a big deal because he never goes with anyone! Amelia puts the first move on Julian and kisses him, but she didn’t know a lot about why he wouldn’t kiss her. It had nothing to do with him not wanting to.

Review:

I am a huge fan of these two Authors. Every time I read another book by them I just know it’s going to be a great one and this was no exception!!!

Amelia, the main character has to move in with her aunt and cousin to Shadow Hill because her mom dies suddenly. Amelia has never met her aunt or cousin and the worst part is when she shows up to their house, neither of them are there. Instead, she meets Marin the butler, Luca the driver, and Marie the maid.

Since Amelia’s mother never let her attend school, her first day was quite interesting. This is where she sees the mysterious Julian whom everyone thinks him and his 2 brothers are all gorgeous. Julian and her are constantly staring at one another. Even the new friends she has made the comment multiple times.

I don’t read about witches too much but lately I have been specifically looking for good series about witches!  After reading this book, I can’t wait to read book 2 to see what is to come for these witches!

Rating: 5/5
