Destined to Die by Jayme & Jody Morse
The Briar Creek Vampire
Book 3

Synopsis:

When Lexi finds herself standing face-to-face with her cousin, Austin, who she believed to be dead, everything in her worlds turns upside down. Escaping Briar Creek and the vampires in it is only the first step that she must take to ensure her own safety. She still has many obstacles ahead of her and secrets to uncover before she can change her fate.

Review:

As I read this series, I feel every book is just getting better and better. The action starts really quickly into it and doesn’t let up throughout the third book! This book started right where book 2 left off.

Lexi’s questions get answered in the book only to leave her with many other questions! She needs to find a way to escape Briar Creek and you won’t believe who it is to help her. She is having a hard time dealing with finding out who she can really trust and there are some very unlikely people who she can trust.

Lexi finds out that Austin was turned right before his parents tried to kill him. Gabe has been having a lot of visions and in most of them, he sees Lexi’s death at the hands of the vampires in Briar Creek.

As an attempt for Briar Creek to get Lexi back, she becomes the lead murder suspect. Since they don’t want the authorities to find Lexi, Gabe and Austin enroll at Huntington High which is a Vampire Hunter school in a town just outside of Briar Creek. This is when Lexi finds out she is a part of the “Hunters” through her bloodline. One person at this school Lexi doesn’t want to see is the slutty vampire who created Gabe. When Lexi finds the two of them in an interesting position, her heart breaks and she runs to an old flame of hers, Craig.

In this book, we learn more about the history behind Briar Creek.

Rating: 4/5
